(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

Very new, 3 months so far!


(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

Five - Anastasia (blue Orpington), Colette (black Orpington), ginger and Babs (gold and a silver laced Wyandottes) and lastly Tiny (a young rooster, I think, a blue/splash Orpington). 7 fertile eggs under three of my broody hens, so hoping for lavender Sussex, speckled Sussex and dark barred Plymouth Rock.

(3) What breeds do you have?

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?

By googling the million of questions I have!

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

I’m a graphic designer so anything creative really!

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

Live near Mansfield, Victoria, Australia. Chooks, 2 cows, 3 cats and tropical fish.

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

You might want to also pop in to the Aussie Thread and say hello.

BYC has a Learning Centre and also Topic of the Week articles which I have found to be a great resource and a one stop shop for questions which may have already been discussed within the BYC membership group.

Nice pic! If you would like to share more Pictures and Stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)
