I’m in northern MN and this year decided to solely raise silkies... I’m REALLY good at picking out roosters, hopefully I got some hens this time!

Well at least Silkie roosters are entertaining when they try to crow. Or at least ours is. Kinda sounds like a cross between a cat whose tail has been stepped on and a squeaky balloon. Such a weird sound!

I’m have the other way around. 19 ladies did have 24 but, gave some to a friend.

One of the ladies hatched a rooster this summer from some eggs someone gave to our broody hen.
All new to the rooster game here hoping to pass good luck to you for the next ones you buy
