Hi,

Were new around here, and I've been using the site for a while now after we picked up some cream legbar eggs and have successfully hatched 3 of 6. It's our first time with chickens and they're definitely keeping us busy during lockdown in the UK.

Right now we've got three chicks, around 3 days old, in a home made brooder - this is their home!

What do you think?

Especially interested in fun ways to keep these little guys entertained in their box if anybody has fun suggestions!

When they are a week old, offer them a chunk of sod from their future run. Give them a perch to roost on.

Welcome to Backyard Chickens. You can also give them a small , brightly colored ball, they can push around. Or if you have an empty shoe box - make an opening a both ends, and they will use it as a tunnel.
