Hi there,
I'm temporarily staying in the Philippines and ever since chickens kept me busy! It all started a long time ago when I was 12. My mother would buy me colorful chicks and I kept them in a box full of shavings and a warm water bottle. I raised them to be beautiful Leghorn roosters! I remember, the purple chick grew up to be a HUGE rooster. Now 18, I've never stopped ever since. We went to buy chicks from a local store and they're chubby and predominately tan but some small black spots under the tail and around the neck(Buff Orpington/Unknown breed). I also have 3 native wild type chickens given by my grandpa's friends. They have muscular legs and are very slim, very agile and black with all kinds of colors! My chickens have their own yard, the wild ones roost on top of the trees high above and dislike roosting on our big perch.I first heard about BYC on google whenever I need my questions answered. It's a pleasure to finally be here!
