Thanks for all the welcomes :)

She is currently in a cat basket hanging in a sling I made her :) Her hock looks twisted and bruised bless her.. or him, still not sure :) she tries to use the leg, but it just bends inwards. I have a pic from this evening attached. I have found a localish avian vet, I am in Kent, but no appointments until Monday. Please excuse her footwear :D I am in the middle of treating her good leg for curly toes, and will fix the bad leg after she is mended :)

I would sort the bent toes on her bad leg out now, her toes been bent could be causing her to put more pressure on the hock joint. How long has she had the bent toes? If it's been a while this could have caused the hock problem.

Hope you are able to get an appointment at the vet :fl

ETA - At 6 weeks her toes may not straighten out, I will see if there is an article on it for you.

Her other foot is now done :) She has had both feet done before but always managed to remove my handiwork :) Extra medi tape used this time, so fingers crossed :) Also, how long can she stay in her sling per day? and when can she have her next aspirin dose? She had one yesterday afternoon.

She has managed to remove both of her feet/toe splints!! She really is not happy wearing them it seems :( I shall keep her off her feet for as long as I can until her vet appointment. She does love being nestled in her sling but I am concerned about her circulation being in the same position for any length of time outside sleep time. Any answers regarding the length of time she can be in her sling?

Try out 'disabled hens support network' on Facebook - the folks there have a wealth of knowledge regarding special needs or disability.
 
Little one saw the vet today and she thinks the injury is further up the leg causing the lower half to compensate as it has. Her curly toes are straightening nicely and she has been splinted by the vet, but she feels the only course is to xray then surgery if it can be fixed. I am seeing the vet again in a week to see if Speckles has made any improvement with the splint. Will make a decision from there :) Thought I would show you her upper half lol, as you only saw her bandy legs in the other pic :)

She is very pretty! Hope you can get her all fixed up
