She’s such a cutie! I second that you should think about getting her a friend. How old is she? She doesn’t need that heat lamp any more as she is fully feathered. Welcome to byc! Lots of great info on hear to learn.

I think she is between 6-8 weeks. I have to double check.
I don't heat my apartment usually. I let my neighbours do most of my heating ( 3 story apartment building. I need to save on hydro unfortunately.
So it's sweater weather all the time here and she has no one to cuddle into to. It's only a 50 watt lamp, so not much heat, but enough that it would simulate the heat of being cuddled up with a buddy. She was supposed to be a friend for my bunny, but bunny has rejected her. So she's all alone rn. In a few months when I can afford it, I'll buy her a buddy. But I need to upgrade her cage before I get her a friend. I'll just have to be her buddy for a while

Hello, I agree with the other greeters. She needs the company of other chickens around her own size/age and as she is fully feathered, the heat lamp is not necessary. Will you eventually be building a coop outside for her?

No. I live in a 3 story apartment building. Eventually when I move and get a backyard I plan on building a coop.
She was supposed to be a friend to my bunny. But bunny hates her.
She has bonded with me it seems. Always wants to be up with me, so I usually let her hang around with me for most of the day. She's not alone very often. Her tank is right beside my spot on the couch. But yeah, I plan on getting her a friend cause I can't be her chicken substitute forever for sure.

Even in the coldish, chickens with feathers don’t need heat, so she should be fine without it. Definitely get her a friend as soon as possible, sounds like she is lonely.
