I'm Victoria from the Ozarks. I recently got four white Leghorns, my first chickens ever. A possum got one, then I got four more white Leghorn pullets. So, three older and four younger.
I have a question to ask right off the bat! One pullet, who I call Celeste, has diarrhea. She holds her tail downward, but has decent energy, though she walks gingerly, and a robust appetite and thirst. I noticed she was not allowed on the roost but was huddled alone on the floor of the coop. I brought her into the basement so she could be warm. The diarrhea has stopped after a worm treatment but she still has her tail down and her head drawn in. There was never any blood in her stool and she'll get her second worm treatment in another 6 days. I can hear some gurgling in her stomach. Am I on the right track? I've added some ACV to the flock's water as well as an herbal powder of oregano, etc. Any advice would be appreciated. She's already my favorite girl of the bunch. I want to see her thrive. Thank you!
