Have you considered Coturnix quail? Outside, you can use a storage bench for the shelter, and make a tunnel out of hardware cloth. It’s easily hidden behind shrubs if that’s an issue.
Inside, a guineapig cage or large tank can be used. The eggs taste like chicken eggs, and Amazon has special scissors for quickly opening the eggs.
