(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I had chickens on my grandmas farm since I was little but this is the first time raising in Florida
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
14 chickens and 3 turkeys
(3) What breeds do you have?
Light Brahmas , jersey giants, austrolorps, leghorns, white broad breasted turkey and 1 bourbon red female turkey
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? They eat all the scraps and are amazing to watch !
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
My husband leather crafts and I like to garden
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have 1 dog a husband and an 18 month old son! I’m currently a stay at home mom
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I was googling stuff about my bourbon red turkey ( I’ve raised chickens but never turkeys ) and I saw this and I thought this would be a perfect place to talk chicken !
