Today is the end of our 7th day with the chicks and everyone is still doing awesome. I think that we lost those initial three because of shipping stress. Everyone else continues to look great. Their pin feathers are growing like weeds, their tails started fuzzing out today and they're doing the "flying hop." I know yall know what I mean. : )
OH. And I'm going to wait on the milk until they're laying. It's actually live milk, with all the enzymes. We fed it to our guineas on the advice of other bird folks, and they thrived on it. We had two guinea hens that began laying on New Year's Day, and laid every day. Gonna wait on shells, too, although I did get MannaPro's Chick Grit for when they're two weeks old; good move?
Anyhow, I just wanted to follow up, and say thank you one more time.
