Thank you so much for posting your Cayuga photos!
I have two eight week old Cayuga ducklings, pretty sure one is a drake and the other isn't. (What IS the correct word for a female duck?) At this age, they're practically full sized ducks.
I haven't put them outside yet because I also have 8 week old chicks who need a coop and enclosure all their own, but the Big Chickens' coop is not yet ready for occupancy by my current, grown up flock.
It doesn't get below 40 degrees here at night, and I understand ducks are more hardy than chickens, so I'm just going to have to get brave and put the ducklings out this week. Wonder if they'll stay in their new duck house or not?
