Adding new chickens to existing flock is sometime difficult. I read some time ago now and I did this for the guy next door as well as myself. Remove the trouble maker/s for 3 to 5 days. Once the time has gone by reintroduce when you have time to keep an eye on them for an hour or so. You will find that the pecking order has changed and the trouble maker is now a new member not the leader.

Roosters are a different story and will need to be introduced in a free range situation so that the new guy has plenty of room to run away. I also found multiple Roosters in a run can be trouble although, I have read on this site it works… I personally have not been successful. My run is close to 900 sq ft with 18 chickens 4 where Roosters and I had trouble. The Roosters ended up killing 4 hens attacked my 3 year old after they were close to 8 months old. To be clear they also free ranged on 3 plus acres for 5 hours a day.
