Welcome!! Try to find out if you are allowed chickens first---LOL. Got a friend that can not have chickens or animals other than a dog or cat. He put up a privacy fence---wanted one any way and raised meat rabbits---quietly for several years---his neighbors did not even know and he had 50 to 75 at times. He fed his family of 5 rabbit meat several times a week.

have you searched your city's bylaws?

Hope you will legally be able to keep chickens. If not, some "well meaning " gossip will be sure to turn you in to animal control. There is at least one
busy body in every neighborhood who exists only to cause others grief. A tall solid privacy fence is good for a lot of things.
