We have a number of chickens & regulary use BYC for help so thought I'd register!
We had an egg hatch last night - which tbh we were not expecting - now we have to try and raise it.

Hi and welcome to BYC. Are you letting the mother hen raise the chick or are you taking it from her? How is the baby chick doing today? They are fun to watch grow and grow up so fast. Best of luck with the new chick or chicks as there maybe more then one soon.

If the mother hen wants to raise the baby let her do so. She will keep it warm and show it what to eat & drink.
