Hello! I've been raising chicks for a few months now. Figured I would introduce myself:

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Sort of. I've been reading up on them a lot over the last few years, but just got my first chicks in June.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 5 hens and one rooster

(3) What breeds do you have? Silkies, Brahmas, and Silver Wyandottes

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? Friend

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? I like to garden and spend time outdoors, and hanging gout with my dogs and cats

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. - I have three dogs and 4 cats

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)
