Hello! My name is Angi.
I am a first- time chicken and duck owner. I own 3 ISA Browns and two White Pekins. We used to have 4 chicks but one died due to unknown circumstances (I think the cold). As for letting them run around, we have a little dog pen that we put outside in a garden that they run around in when I come home from school. We plan on permanently fencing the area in, using one of our old rabbit hutches as a coop, and letting them live outside. The ducks live in a hutch shared by one of my rabbits, and the chicks are kept in a cage when they’re not outside. All of the birds aren’t really chicks anymore but they aren’t yet old enough to lay eggs, so I’ll call them juvenile. I’m excited to be a part of the chicken community and to feel like I have a lifeline or people I can just talk chicken with
