Hey I’m newer to the group, I have 3 - 1 year olds
- dj is a isa brown (hen)
- Dorothy is a black sex link (hen)
- Dice is a barred rock (hen)
I also have 5 - 6 week old chicks
- Holly is a salmon Faverolle (hen)
- Ruby is a production red (I think hen)
- Cookie is a ameracana (hen)
- Ariel is a light Brahma (hen)
- Oreo is a light Brahma (rooster!!!)
I’ve been tasing chickens for over a year. I live in cold climates so I have all cold hardy breeds. Next year when I get chicks I’m going to get 1-2 Cochins(because I need some broody hens) , 1 olive Egger (love the color of the egg and good all around chicken), 1 buff Orpington (another broody hen and bc I half one that died a couple months ago).
My garden isn’t to big but isn’t to small. I plant corn, beans, cucumbers, zucchini, cherry tomatoes, yellow bell peppers, brossil sprouts, carrots and peas. For herbs I have parsley and getting a lavender plant and mint!!
