New to backyard chickens!!! We put up a coop & built a run during Christmas, looking forward to watching the “teenagers” turn into beautiful egg-laying mamas!!! Love watching their mannerisms & behaviors. Introduced 2 smaller birds to the gang 2 days ago, the bigger girls are bullies! No bloodshed, Put out extra food and water for the youngers, but they wont let them come near the coop during the day. How long does this usually last? Thanks!!!

For the introducing new members, I normally do the see but no touch integration for at least 2 weeks before letting them to freely mingle with the flock. With this see but no touch integration, I don’t have issues with the flock excepting the new members so I don’t have experience with how much time it takes for a flock to except new members without an integration.
