Hello everyone. My name is Tricia and I am really hopeful you all will be able to help me. We have had our female duck lay 19 eggs. It has been 36 days and 3 of them are gone(2 were cracked and pulled away from the rest), but none of the rest have hatched. She is still sitting on them. 2 of the eggs have changed colors, an orangie color and a darker color on the other one. I know for her breed it says they can sit on them for up to 36 days. Is everything ok?? Do we just leave them and wait? How long should we wait? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank You

is there a drake with her and usually ducks sit on them for 28 days Muscovy ducks sit for 35 if they are a different colour i would remove them but have you candled them to see development???/

Yes there is a drake.. and she is a muscovy. the male is a cayuga. what do you mean candled them?

Welcome to BYC. Frequently there is very low fertility when crossing muscovies with mallard derived breeds. If nothing happens in the next couple of days, the eggs are probably infertile.
