Hi!
I'm new on here! I've actually browsed this site for years, but decided I should finally sign in. I've been a chicken owner for 10 years. We have a variety of pretty hens, they used to enjoy free ranging but in their new home have found a pen to be a little safer. We enjoy our fresh eggs and the chickies enjoy out yummy scraps plus their feed. Hoping to get a little help on here, I've run into some trouble with my flock !!

Glad you joined the flock. What type of problem are you having with your flock? If it is a health concern, you may get the fastest answer at "emergencies, diseases, injuries, cures," thread. Otherwise stay tuned to this thread, it may be some time before other greeters wake up.

Glad you could join the flock! Sorry to hear you have run into trouble with your flock. Many of us were lurkers before joining, I did two years before signing up. Wish I had done it sooner!

Thanks guys for the warm welcome. I just posted under Emergencies..ect. but a brief summary is that I have lost 3 hens this month to some mysterious " bug". They died 2 weeks apart. Only one of them really appeared to be sick, one of them was 7 years old, but now I'm worried. I don't want to lose my flock!! I have raised each f these birds from hatchlings in my bathtub ( my hubby and friends think I'm weird), but I really consider each life special. None of my chickens have ever been sick. All advice is welcome
