Hi everyone -
Sorry to have this be my introductory post, but I'm not sure what (if anything) I can do for my son's chicken, but I promised him I'd do some research while he was at school. We have a 9 month old buff brahma who is suddenly, this morning, laying down on her side, head tucked over, eyes closed most of the time, very weak/non-responsive. It looks bad, and I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas of things I can do for her. Other background - she had two compatriots who were killed by a dog about a month ago, so she has been alone since then, and has not laid an egg since (but laying was already tapered off because of winter - so we weren't sure if there was a relationship). My son says she has not eaten much recently. She is well covered (so I'm pretty confident she hasn't gotten wet). Any ideas? I feel terrible - my son was heartbroken at losing the first two, so losing this last one would be very sad for him!
Thanks in advance!
