HELP! Aagggh I opened an egg Mama had abandoned but it's still alive!!

Okay, I'm back now. She's still doing okay. She had gotten a little too cool while I was gone, but the temp is back up now. I've moved her into a clear small plastic tub with a heating pad in it. I remembered that my heating pad is designed for moist heat (It came with a thing that you get wet and put it right against the pad), so I knew I wouldn't have to worry about it being too wet.

Here are some pics of the current set-up. I'm so anxious for this little baby to hatch. How do I know when the blood vessels have "retracted"? That's not something I've really dealt with before.

Thanks for all your support!

We're all sitting on the edge of our seats here!
I love your set up...looks like a human baby in one of those incubators they have for pre-mies.

Hi All, Sorry it took so long to get you an update. She's still doing okay. I checked her a couple of times this morning and she was still moving, but not making any progress. I just now picked her up and checked and the membrane had become stuck to her. I was able to pick most of it away and then saw a tiny bit of blood right at the end. I put her back in there, and hopefully have given her enough room to do the rest on her own. I'll keep you all posted, I promise!
