help! almost dead cockerel with impacted crop and wet red bottomed hen

i have two chicken issues.....

1 laying hen wet dirty bottom all the time. otherwise totally normal. is she just lazy? it'a also RED. what should i look for to determine other causes?

1 cockerel, limp, weak, hard crop. i gave him water and oil and massaged, is MUCH looser now. but he's skin and bones. how long should i wait for him to recover? he's on water only and he's separated from the others. i'm pretty sure this is all it is, but i think we may be too late. he barely moves.

i dusted the two hens with d.earth today. should i dust again tomorrow?
i have never seen any mites, but they could be hiding.

cockerel, i just go him a few days ago, he was easy to catch, very slow.... but now i know why!!! pretty sure it's an impacted crop.
i massaged it and gave him the oil treatment, but he may not make it. he has poo'd some, but it's dry and small, telling me that not a lot is getting through and he's dehydrated. i forced him to drink some water. he is in isolation.

When was the hen last wormed.....
The roo has impacted crop. Give him a bit of corn syrup, gator aid or some sugar to try and give energy. Do you have any poultry vitamins....
If he can't drink you can use a syringe to inject some under loose skin..1/2 water to 1/2 vitamins etc... Keep him warm and keep massaging....

i have only had the hen for 4 months, so i have not wormed her yet. would worms cause red skin and wet bottom?

i will do the sugar water in the morning. he's in the workshop tonight alone. hope he makes it through, he was in such bad shape today. i suppose this has probably been going on awhile, but since i just got him i think it might be too late.

i've given him sugar water and more oil and massage. his crop isn't hard anymore, but it isn't clearing either. he hasn't had food in a day and it's still full. it's squishy, but not empty. i am hoping that he is passing it slowly since he is pooping, but it's hard to say. he's still really weak, barely walking and low on energy...

i just wonder if i should pt him out of his misery...?

Sounds like it may be sour crop.... You can try giving Apple cider vinager in his water. If you feel he is too far gone and is suffering..I understand. Recovery can be a long road.....

so, how much apple cider vin do i put in his water? he isn't super keen on drinking. i might have to force him a bit.
he has very small poops so i see that some things are working their way through, but not like what you would expect from a cockerel his age. he was meant to be a meat chicken to be processed in a month, but now i feel kinda bad (and he's skin and bones).
even with all the torture i have put him through today (oil and massaging) he walked over (hobbled) and put himself between my legs and settled in, like he liked me.
i just feel bad for him.

I put about 1/2 a cc to a cup of water or so. Poor guy.... Hopefully the vitamins can help him get through it. Keep him warm and keep up the supportive care....

so, amazingly he is still alive. i have been giving him kefir and he is now back in with the flock, though clearly not doing great, he can at least hold his head up, he has more flight in him and his crop isn't as goopy, although it is full because he is eating again and he is regaining strength.
i am giving him clotrimazol too to kill the sour crop (i read this suggestion- people actually giving their chooks monistat!). it works!
he is still weak, but i think much better.

the hens bottom has improved after the D. earth and i think it must have been mites. it's a lighter pink and the feathers aren't as wet.
hopefully this will be all the chicken adventures we have for awhile...
