HELP! Ant infestation!!!

Quote:
Just keep in mind that this will not take out the colony -- once the water is gone the ants will be back -- unless you find their colony and douse it too.. Been there done that..

Ground Black pepper and vinegar. I used white vinegar. I sprayed the bottom of the building. I usually have to put it on every 2 weeks but it does help me. The pepper also keeps the dogs from peein on it. It is very sensitive to ants. And the vinegar nobody likes that.

Full strength vinegar erases ant trails, and if you drench the mound it gets rid of it, too. Safe for chickens and cheap.

OK, first update

I had Hubby powerwash the ants off the coop last night then I doused the 'path' with vinegar. I will be on high alert today to see how this goes. In the mean time, I am making 'ant soup' (boric acid, sugar, water combo) as we speak to treat out front yard and I will leave a dish on the roof of the coop in case I have any stragglers...thanks for all the tips!!!
