how am I supposed ti give her yogurt and buttermilk if she wont eat it? suringe it like meds?

no I never even took her to this vet. I just went by there to pick up the tube for feeding. I never took her. he just said that's what he thought it sounded lke she needed. e said he had some kind of degree in poultry.

A few questions...

What vet gave you the Baytril?
What vet gave her the mineral oil?
What vet said not to tube her?

the regular vet that I have been taking my chickens too is the one who gave the oil. a vet closer to my house is where I was going to get the tube and he gave me antibiotics also. I went there cause he was closer. he didn't tell me not to tube her he said hed never herd of it and I mite

Okay, wow... so he gave you Baytril for a chicken he had never seen? How did he know how much to give her, he needed to know her weight. Then he said he'd never heard of tube feeding and that you might blow her up? Good Lord, have him call me, lol. He done told you wrong!

Did the vet that gave her the mineral oil look at any samples under the scope? If so, did he see any bacteria?

yes that's right but he did ask me how much she weighed. he is a pretty good vet I have taken my dog to him before. the other et that gave the oil no he didn't do anything but look at her feel her and gave her the oil. she hasn't hardly been pooping at ll maybe once a night if that much. last night she pooped like 4 times is thatgood? is that a sign she is getting better? its runny

I think it's a *possibility* that your hen now has a full blown fungal infection on top of what what was causing her slow crop. If she does have a fungal infection she needs anti-fungals. If I were you I would call the vet that gave you the Baytril and ask him for some Fluconazole or Ketoconazole.

How much does she weigh now?
