HELP ASAP!!

ok this is where I am at now......I read on here about making them throw up it was very detailed. so I tried to follow the directions. I picked her up and began to rub her crop and heard it swishing around in there. so from what I have read I am assuming its past the impacted and to the sour crop maybe. so I proceeded to do as it directed hold her like a football tilt her over slightly massage her crop and she did start getting it up. a pretty good amount came out. it said u are supposed to do it for a few seconds at a time. so I let her down. I hope this works. I am going to give her a few minutes and try it again.

Sorry I didn't get back to you about posting a video. If you wanted to still do that, go to the video on youtube, and under the video window but above the comment field, there is a "Share" tab. Click that and copy the link that is already made in that box. Then come to this thread and start a reply. In the options in this window, there is a little icon of a film strip, next to the mountain picture and smiley face. Click that, and paste that link in the box it gives you.

It sounds like it might be sour crop to me, but I'm no expert, just watched A LOT of videos and read A LOT of threads.

Keep us updated!

I think it is sour crop just from what I have read and what I am experiencing now with the brown stuff running out of her mouth. I hope I am helping her since I have don't this twice she is drinking a lot. I think that is good. im not quit sure about force feeding her tho. seems like if the crop is messed up the last thing they need is food. im not sure how to force feed anyway other than a sereng and shooting it down the throat. any other suggestions would be great.

There are a few differing opinions on sour crop. My bird had it and so I tried them all and as such am not sure which one worked.
First I did the turn the bird upside down and massage the crop upwards to induce vomiting
or a few seconds only. It will smell bad if it's sour crop. I bought some sour crop tablets which contained charcoal. I gave her live yoghurt to help fight any yeasty fungus. I dosed her with vitamins and garlic.

She had lost a bit of weight as at the time I was inexperienced and didn't realise what was happening so I had her at home for a week or two's tlc until she regained.

Hope this helps, very best wishes to you and your hen x

should I bring her inside or let her continue to sleep in the coop with everyone else. im not worried about contagious im worried cause I know she is weak. what would yall recommend?

If it was me I would bring her in. She will be hiding her illness from the flock so bringing her in will allow her to get better without them being in the picture. Keep her warm and quiet and semi dark somewhere where she will feel secure.
Weigh her and then each day you know if she's gaining or loosing and you can monitor her food and water intake closely.

I can tell just by picking her up that she has lost weight she LOVES to eat so, her not being able to eat really hurts my heart. I did the turning downward and massaging thing twice. I started to do it again before bed but she was wiggly so I thought maybe I didn't need to do it again. she drank a bunch after I did it the first two times so maybe that's a good sign.

If its just sour crop, I wouldn't force feed her. I would offer her probiotics. Vomiting her, you have to be careful that she doesn't breathe any in. Keep cotton balls or tissue handy to sop up anything that could run back into her trachea. I had a couple with sour crop due to candidiasis (yeast infection) and the probiotics were like a silver bullet.
