Help! Assisted Hatching turned to yolk disaster!

You are welcome. Good luck, and I will watch for your post letting us know how the little one did.

I will, it looks better then what it did an hour ago, last time it looked like it had no stomach but now there is just a fine sized left, hoping for the best. I'll let you know tomorrow morning if it's doing better or not.

Welcome to the BYC flock! We are glad you joined us, though I wish it were under better circumstances!

How is the little guy going? Any updates?

Not doing so well. He's really weak and the yolk has started it turn brown and is frying up. It even burst and yellow stuff is coming out. I'm desperate to keep him alive and am wondering if I can cut the yolk.... Probably not. It's just so sad

No you really don't want to cut it. Sounds like the little one will probably be gone by morning. I'm so sorry. All of us that have incubated many a time, have probably gone through this, I know I have. Just keep him warm, comfortable. It's always sad to lose a chick, even after having hatched for many yrs.

I'm almost afraid to ask, did the baby make it through the night? Do you have others chicks that have hatched? Would love to see a living thriving baby chick that made it for you.
