Help baby chick has strange bugs on it

thank you DLA, that would be a definite NO then for me on adding the wood ash in those dusting tires, Im not sure my neighbor knows about what you just said of using the wood ash, will make sure I warn him, rain finally let up down here, back to humid, and hot, my boys and I are putting up few more fans up high near the ceiling in the runs and coops. No worries folks, we wrap those fans in stainless steel wire mesh as a precaution to make sure the chickens are safe....also have some pullets coming out of the brooder this weekend ready to add to the flock, have couple Starlight green eggers Im adding thosee with the EE's and few Rhode Island reds i will add in with the JG's, good evening everyone!

Do lice live in the coop? If so what’s the best way to spray the coop? I also have two broody hens so I wouldn’t be able to spray their nest boxes. My two broody hens have been sprayed so they don’t give lice to their babies.

All bedding needs to be removed from the coop, burn it or bag it up tight and throw it away, then spray the coop thoroughly, every nook and cranny. With your broodies, I would either wait for them to take their daily break or just take them out of their nest, get rid of the nest material, spray the nest, let dry, add fresh bedding, put the eggs back.

Ok! Thank you! When I get home later today I will have to clean everything!

good evening, let us know how you managed with the clean up Ms farmgirl, sounds like those bugs are becoming a nuisance....we have to do our own clean up in those runs and coops tomorrow weather
permitting, went ahead and added those pullets in with the flocks this afternoon, the older birds showed curiosity and not aggression towards the newbies, thank goodness, alls well that ends well! good night folks
