Help!! baby chicks

Thanks Blooie I know I read about the heating pad and how you used it and I know she was using it wrong and it could hurt the chicks. So I am so glad you jumped in because I couldn't find out where the info was that I had read or who wrote it.

Ole Gray Mare, I wouldn't want to try sexing the chicks either as I said, I am going to wait till they grow up. I leave that to the professionals. Its bad enough just dealing with the pasty butts. LOL

Ok. True. I took heating pad out!! They seem good today. I have a dumb question. Should i keep them in the tub all the time or can i carry them with me outside for a walk? Sounds stupid i know. Lol. I just want tame chickens and not sure how much i should hold them rite now. I took the bear out!!!

You want them to stay warm. Right now is it about 90 outside where you live. Don't take them inside and outside if there is quiet a bit difference in temps. You can handle them gently in the house. When you check on the water and change it pick them up. When you feed them pick them up. When you go to check on them pick them up for a few minutes. You will be surprised at the amount of time you will handle them per day. Talk to them pet them gently. Remember they are only a week old so you don't want them out to long. They have to warm back up.

All three seem to be doing perfect;) very happy!!! So thankful for all the info!
