Here's a better picture of this one. my husband named him beavis. also I am pretty certain u are right about my mavis maybe being Welsh harlequin as I ran across this photo of 11 WH and they look just like him. breaks my heart they are such beautiful ducks

@samducklover so sorry about your lil duckling. I hope you have had a good talking to that neighbor kid and parents.[They should buy you another duckling] although it won't be a replacement for the one you lost but may teach this kid to respect others animals and property.

I definitely agree on Cayugas and WH duckling. I have never seen one like that last one. The peculiar thing is it looks like pekin, but with magpie bill sorta? That one will be fun to watch grow up and see what it looks likes.

Ugh, what a heartbreaking thing to have happen. I hope you addressed it with your neighbor and they have good intentions to mend fences over what happened.


Your ducks are Cayuga or East Indies, the remaining one with the poof is identical to crested Runners at that age. We have some right now

I think you might be right, but what about the blue speckled beak?

Color variations of bills and feathering are normal and expected. Some stay yellow, some turn completely black (or blue, or green) and others still grow to be spotted
