HELP! BEAT UP QUAIL

I know this is the wrong section, but here it is:
My quail started laying today.
I have hte appropriet ratio to males to females.
I was checking on everyone and I saw this sweatheart sitting in the corner. He flew around the room- that is not where the damage came from. I caught him and he is in a seperate cage in my workspace.
Please help, I will post pictures.
The only place that is somewhat bloody is his head, but that seems to be from feathers.

You have it at the right place! Is it his head?

Yeah he's generally acting calm and lethargic and I found him laying down. His head is the problem.

Got scalped. Either an aggressive hen or another aggressive male did it

How do I fix/ help him?

Keep him separate and let him heal. He got off far luckier than mine did and he's healing decently so far (would be faster if he stopped opening the scab )

This happened to 3 of my coturnix one night, but a bit of blue kote, time, and separate housing did the trick for me. Now, a few months later, they have fully healed with only a scar on the most badly damaged ones head. Good luck with your quail!

edit: mine were very badly hurt and bleeding... idk if yours needs blue kote.

Some quail strains seem to simply be far more agressive. My older group (especially females) has killed multiple and my male I mentioned before was scalped so bad I could see and touch his skull. Twice
Personally I won't be keeping chicks from this group because of it
