Can you massage the bottom of the crop? If there's food there that will encourage it to clear. Also, when you massage go slow like peristalsis, down from her beak to her gizzard, repeat a couple of times. This morning she still has stuff in her crop. It’s soft not hard. Should I isolate her to withhold food? Does she need yeast cream if it’s not sour yet? I feel so bad. She’s in good spirits but liquid came out (gravity) when I massaged her crop for a few minutes this morning. It’s really hard to do it for more than a few minutes at a time as she’s very active (and the other two chickens are harassing me lol). I will continue with the oil and massaging as much as I can today. Please send good hopes!
I will try that. I just put out a watery mash of plain yoghurt, crumbles, probiotics and some turmeric to see if they'll eat that. I was able to massage a good 5-6 minutes this morning and I'll try to do what you suggested with the massage direction this afternoon. Can you massage the bottom of the crop?
