Help? Big crop, clear gooey liquid coming out of beak?

This morning she still has stuff in her crop. It’s soft not hard. Should I isolate her to withhold food? Does she need yeast cream if it’s not sour yet? I feel so bad. She’s in good spirits but liquid came out (gravity) when I massaged her crop for a few minutes this morning. It’s really hard to do it for more than a few minutes at a time as she’s very active (and the other two chickens are harassing me lol). I will continue with the oil and massaging as much as I can today. Please send good hopes!

Can you massage the bottom of the crop? If there's food there that will encourage it to clear. Also, when you massage go slow like peristalsis, down from her beak to her gizzard, repeat a couple of times.

I will try that. I just put out a watery mash of plain yoghurt, crumbles, probiotics and some turmeric to see if they'll eat that. I was able to massage a good 5-6 minutes this morning and I'll try to do what you suggested with the massage direction this afternoon.

it's been raining all day and I was just able to go out to massage again. her crop is so big compared to the other girls, and feels still squishy. I massaged but not sure it's going down. should I start the yeast cream treatment even if it's not sour? I am getting upset at seeing no change so far with her over a day or so but I know it takes a few days.

So I am going to isolate her overnight tonight to make sure she is pooping. I bought miconazole 2% (called micatin anti fungal) which seems to be the same thing but branded different than the womens proficr but pharmacist said it was the same. The lady kits had pre made inserts so it would be harder to dose. Hope this helps my Squeak. She didn't want to eat it but I put it on some scrambled eggs and she had a bit. she seems uncomfortable and is adjusting her crop a lot. I was able to massage about 10 mins this s morning.

Okay so it’s def sour crop (her burps stink!) and I have isolated her today. Doing micolzkne twice a day, started yesterday, and oil and massage and small amounts of scrambled egg. In good news she passed a poop today, first one in many hours. It looks prettt normal but a bit dry? I was so relieved to see a poop as I was worried about her starving. Does this poop look ok? Don’t mind all the grit she scattered around.

another massive poop. Feeling like things could get better, and at least she's not having weird poops. Her crop is still big and gurgling but massaging every hour or so and she is her chatty, hungry self...

Poop looks great! I'm so glad she's eating for you! Keep up the yeast cream!

We have different kits here, there's one that has a tube of cream that you squirt into a plunger type apparatus.

I'm not getting notifications when you posted the updates, can you tag me next time you post?
