HELP!! Can someone please tell me what's wrong with my chicken???

She will very occasionally try to scratch it. Nothing like the the point of nearly scratching her eye out like it said in eye worm info.
It does look like there's a big ball of pus that could be taken out but I'm too scared to do it myself. I guess it might be a job for the vet.

Are eyeworms usually found in humid places?

I can't see any pus in her nostrils (is this the nares? Sorry I'm a bit of a newbie with the lingo)

Yes, they say eye worms are most common in tropical climmates. Oh, and about vets, well my friend had a chicken that she took to an AVIAN vet. The vet didn't see anything wrong with her chicken, and the next day she died.

If you do take her to a vet, just get a second opinion

Yeah thanks for that- I know that vets aren't usually great with poultry, but I can't leave her like this.
I'm not from a humid area, a pretty darn dry one actually, but that doesn't mean it's not eye worm.

Do you think warm compresses would help to dislodge the pus?
