It only got worse from there... I put food and water by their nest, then I went out to dinner and came back with the mother hen frantically covering her bloody dying chicks. I think the food brought the other hens and then they attacked the chicks that were with the mother. Lesson learned do not hatch with other chickens. I caught the mother and put her in a cage in the dark went to the feed store got three pullets and put them under her, she accepted them and now they’re doing great. I lost a total of 4 chicks in this hatch.
