I have a three week old Blue orpington chick that has gotten sick. I have separated it the others. Cleaned the vent area and surrounding area with warm rag. Its vent is clear of all debris. I have started all the chicks on a low dosage of Terrimicin (spelling?). He is (was) in a wire hanging pen, no is in a doggy carrier until well enough to return.
Symptoms: Red swollen vent (on verge of bleeding), white diarrhea, feathers nearly gone around vent and lower belly region, sneezes, stayed isolated in corner from others.
Any thought or other actions I should try? I really don't want to lose this chick, it is one of only three BBS orpington hatched chicks.
