I'm waiting to hear back if this is the same chick. If today is day 19 and it just hatched a few hours ago... I would NOT have opened my bator... And I would be questioning my instruments accuracy.
In other words, I agree that you need to give it time. Hatching is exhausting work and resting is normal. If he was still in the fetal position after 24 hours I might try the nutri drench. BUT I would be hesitant to open my top and risk my other hatchers, so I guess it depends on what all ya got going on. That chick still has 3 days worth of yolk, in theory. It should be enough nutrients since the egg had enough to fully form that beautiful little chick.

Oh my goodness I am so happy that i read this thank you!I just experience this recently, when I was hatching out my own chicks! To me, I think it's normal... It will soon gain both the strength and the confidence to get up and move about! My chick did this as well, and it still had a little attached to it, but he is fine and healthy now!!
Good luck!!We are all here for you

No. The broody stayed 12 days and then quit so I put it in my incubator. This was an egg that was in the bator the whole 19 days or no?
Day 20 now. I know I shouldn’t have opened it. Thank you for your information! If today is day 19 and it just hatched a few hours ago... I would NOT have opened my bator... And I would be questioning my instruments accuracy.

How long since hatch when you took that video?Maybe this helps? It’s really hard for me to get this baby to where it’s not lying on its face.
