You're welcome, and not really. Hopefully the probiotics will help with that. It's a common symptom. She could even be drinking more water because of the heat.

If you use the tablets/capsules you actually can get a break. If tablets, crush into a powder. (I use a ziplock bag and the side of a tin can of food). If capsules, pull the capsule apart emptying the contents into a ziplock or whatever you have. Their potency is stronger than yogurt and they're not easy to overdose.

You can mix 1/2 capsule into just enough water to make it into a thin paste - slightly thinner than toothpaste, more like mayonnaise. Give that to the bird via dropper into the side of its mouth. If it doesn't get it all, that's ok. If it doesn't get hardly any try the next method. It's small enough and thick enough not to aspirate them.

If that didn't work, use the rest and put in some more water. Drop the drops of water one at a time onto the side of her beak (about middle, side) to where she will swallow them each.

If she really loves applesauce babyfood, you can mix equal amounts of the powder and babyfood and give to her as a little treat. Some birds love that. If she eats boiled egg yolk mixed with a little water, lace the water with that before mashing the boiled egg yolk with it.

Be sneaky - I mean creative! /grin

I really really prefer powdered probiotics because of their versatility! Whether they're acidophilis tablets, or Probios, or fastrack. BUT sometimes people can get yogurt tonight and not the others. Plus yogurt is cheap as well as effective and I'd rather people be able to buy yogurt and use it than not afford Probios and never use it, ya know?
