Help! Chicken disappeared and presumed sat on eggs somewhere

Cheers. She's out now 🐥😁 I wouldn't normally do this, but checked the other eggs since we are now on day 27. I have 1 more egg with what looks like an internal pip. This has had an internal pip since yesterday morning when I put the egg in the incubator. So now at least 28 hours since internal pip. The other 3 eggs I am not so sure of. 1 egg looks pretty full of chick and hid air cell. The other 2 eggs have a good air cell but slight space around chick. Not sure when I should give up? Any advice on how long I should give those or how to definitely see if dead or alive, much appreciated

Well just to update on day 28....I have egg number 10 until day, candles it again and saw movement and looked like the whole headat least of the chick was up in the air sack. I decided to assist. Made a good air hole at about 10am. Moistened the membranes every couple of hours and got the humidity right up. After 5 hours and no progress, I made her hole a little larger. I could see that she was stuck in her membranes but left her another hour to see if she could progress. Nothing. So then I removed the top of the egg and wetted the membranes and waited a few more hours. I eventually had to tear the membranes carefully and she eventually popped half out. Left her a bit again but had to help get bum out. But she's eventually out at day 28, looking healthy and slowly perking up. Still fluffing up in the incubator then can join her sibling (number 9 born day 27) in the brooder. 3 eggs left but I think they are goners.

Well done! :yesss:

You could smell the other eggs and listen if you may hear some scraping noises before you discard them.

Well after several checks, and now day 29 (yesterday), the last 3 eggs were dead in shell 🥺 all fully formed but looked in the wrong position. There was definite life in 2 of those eggs just 3 days before.
I noticed yesterday that one of the earlier chicks, that is down with my broody hen, didn't look quite right. Bit lethargic. I opted to wait and see, which maybe I shouldn't have. I found it dead this morning. 5 days old. Hoping all goes well with the remaining.

So I am not sure whether to post here or start a new thread...all is going well with mother hen and her 7 chicks outside. They have been slowly spending time with the rest of the flock. Apart from one juvenile hen (almost 5 months old), all the others don't seem to bothered. But I think I have an issue with 1 of my 2 chicks that we have indoors. 1 chick is normal and very lively. The 2and (the last chick that I helped hatch), has been a bit quieter the last days. It's eating and going to the toilet. But it's feathers look very ruffled. It seems very sleepy all the time compared to the other chick. Yet it plays in between. And it has runny poop. Maybe the start of something? It's 15 days old now. Any advice? Gut instinct tells me something is not quite right
