My young heng, I found out in the pen today, not moving but on the ground. She was obviously alive. Blinking and full colored beard. normally when I approach her, she runs away with the other chickens. Today she wouldn't run at all. So I tried to scare her into running but she would it. I know that sounds bad, but I swear it's not like I am mean to my chickens, I was just trying to figure out what was wrong . I picked her up and examined her legs, they were all still intact, and she can move her toes when she tried to grasp onto my finger, but when she's tried to move she was wobbling a round on her left leg, she tries to flip and kick butt her left leg just always goes to the back of her body, what do I do? When I sat her back down she leaned to de left side. She looks like she is not sick, and her legs work, but she can't get away from the other chickens and my rooster is over matting her. HELP!!!!!

It's getting dark as well so what do I do with her for the night? Just sit her in the coop and hope she is alive tomorrow afternoon?

Bring her into the house and put her in a cardboard box with some bedding if you have nothing else. She needs TLC or if you cannot provide that, then euthanize. It sounds very much like Marek's disease I'm afraid. How old is she?
A chicken sling will help to keep her in an upright position when you have time to rig one up. They can be as simple as this....

A good quality vitamin supplement in her water and some scrambled egg as well as her regular feed may help. She needs to be away from that cockerel though as he is stressing her and that is most likely what will have caused this outbreak. Marek's usually lies dormant until it is triggered by stress.

Definitely bring her inside and place her in a sling with food and water at her head.
Definitely do not leave her where the other chickens can get to her, especially that rooster, they may kill her because they can tell when one is weak or they may begin pecking and as she cannot get away, they may just keep pecking until death.
I wish you the best of luck with your girl!

I recently had a similar experience with a hen favoring one leg, tired and unable to walk more than a few steps at a time. She was isolated, no obvious signs of injury nor abnormal fecal matter. Active, alert, eating and drinking. I gave her an external exam and couldn't find anything to include a thorough inspection of her feet and toe. She isolated, kept warm with a heating pad and given vitamin water for about a month. I also upped her protein intake. Full recovery. My educated guess was she either landed wrong off the roost or the rooster was a bit to aggressive with her causing a leg/thigh injury.

In the future I would really restrain from 'scaring' her into moving or trying to create a reaction. Stress is a killer of chickens with or without injury. Heat, isolation and vitamins should always be the first step in any treatment. Good luck with her, please keep us updated!
