HELP!!! Chicken is sick!!

I went out this am to let my chickens free range and noticed that one of my young cochin hens wasn't coming out. I went in and picked her up. She won't eat or drink.
She just sits there and raises her head up like she is gasping for air - then she will bring it back down and then do it again. This is being done constantly.
Any ideas??????????

Bring her in and get some vitamin electrolye in her water. JUst try to keep her drinking. Hopefully someone will help that knows more about what may be wrong. Good luck.
 
She is in, but I can't get her to do anything but sit there.
She refuses to drink anything.

I sure hope she's OK. I don't suppose you have any Oxine AH, do you? I ordered it online and it took a couple days to get here. I would use it in a humidifier in the room with her, and also in the coop just in case "whatever-it-is" is contagious. If you don't have it, I'm not sure where you could get it quickly.

I wish someone could give you an idea of what went wrong...

I kinda know how you feel...I lost a chick this morning (didn't make it through the night) and now I think there's another on his way out. They're packing peanuts, so they aren't important to my flock, but I hate to see any little creature get sick and die.
