We just moved into a house and apparently the people left one of those glue mouse traps underneath something. One of our little chicks, 7 days old, somehow hopped out of her bin and got stuck on it! She seems fine but her feet are stuck --- any suggestions really quick would be helpful thank you!

And this description of "how to"

Cover the animal’s head with the dishtowel to calm him or her down. Then, wearing a pair of gloves, gently massage a few drops of the oil into the area where the animal is stuck. Keep massaging until you are able to work the animal free.

Be sure to keep the amount of oil to a minimum, as it can interfere with natural waterproofing, thus reducing the chance of survival following release. Once the animal has been separated from the glue trap, carefully slide a tissue over the trap to prevent him or her from becoming stuck again.

If the suggestions aren't working call up your local animal shelter and ask if you can bring in your chick for help. Someone who has done this before usually has a better technique. https://www.humanesociety.org/resources/glue-boards
