I would like to see the feathers from that area plucked. To pluck, gently pluck one at a time in the direction the feathers grow and be careful not to tear the skin. Pluck the blue area.

If a vet is not an option, you need to pluck all of the feathers in the blue zone and take new pictures. This is a serious, life threatening injury and there are steps you need to take to treat it. Step 1 is to remove the feathers.

I Had a barred rock that hurt her leg in that same spot, but there was no blood, it just wobbled back and forth,,,,i put her on antibiotic and put her in isolation so she could rest....and in a few weeks she was limping around..that was 4 months ago, now we cant even hardly see her limp.....she was a trooper......
