Help!! Chicken with sprained or broken neck!! Help!!!

I have been giving him apple treats to further strengthen his neck by pecking at hard things. Slices of apples, not whole ones.

I had a chicken that had nerve damage to her leg and she would just fall over when she stood up, her leg was completely limp. It took her 6 WEEKS of me moving her around many times a day every day to a clean non-poopy spot, and transporting her in and out of a separate area, and picking up water and food bowls she would knock over trying to move. One day she just got up and was perfectly normal again.
Great job on caring for your rooster...you are a great bird mom!

He seems to be doing really good...I wondered if my hen would ever walk again, cause it seemed like forever. She had fallen into a hay feeder and was laying on her bent leg and she probably had been that way for hours by the time I found her. Since Brownie can now move his neck, I feel like his leg function will return in time. I would keep doing physical therapy...if you push on the bottom of his foot do you feel any resistance?

Brownie update: HE is doing great! He can walk, and eat, and drink all by himself! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!!
