Help. Chicken won't open eyes or stand.

@casportpony Yes. Still in a warm room with heat lamp. @Eggcessive till what age do we feed the starter feed? And do I just basically open her beak and shove the liquid down her throat? Only kind available near me at the moment would be the powder to mix at tractor supply.
Have your chickens been getting starter feed as their primary food intake since you got them?
Depending on the protein content (i.e. 18%), most people will feed that till it is time to switch to layer feed.
Feeding instructions are on every bag of feed I've seen in the last 30 years or more.

I would get the powder. Mix 1/2 teaspoon with 2 teaspoons of water, mix well and give 0.34 ml per pound orally once a day. You also need to figure out how to get more water into her if she doesn't start drinking on her own.

I have had the experience myself. 1st moisten her eyelids and pull the the lids open. don't freak out, there may be pus trapped. I flush out debris with water, then use an antibiotic to kill bacteria, etc, It's very hard to get any sticky cream into the eye socket. Go to any Feed store and look for a white syringe that is used to to treat mastitis. It flows out and will run into every surface of the eye area. Use it until healed.

@casportpony where would I get a syringe? I have a 3mm one, and the one video shows the lady using it without a long needle but I feel tis one would be too thick

@ChickenCanoe we'e been feeding them wrong all along. Found out early this morning all there food is is scratch grains. Nothing else aside from what they pack in the yard :(

And now she seems to be back in the same condition she was when my husband found her last night
