Help!! Chickens and kittens killed suddenly!

possibly coyotes or fox {they will hunt daytime} coons, possum, etc. are primarily night hunters. Maybe check with your local Fish & Game for other daylight hunters including hawks and eagles in your area

We found the culprit! It was a massive raccoon! My father found it dead on the road today, and he said it looked as if it was running from our farm when it got hit. I think all of the remaining chickens (8 or 9) are alive. It got the karma it deserved.

Hopefully it was the culprit.......but much speculation there.

As aart says much speculation. Hope that is correct. Keep the traps and cameras going until you can prove it is gone for good.

Yes... if it was there for days and there's a food source I'm not sure why it would necessarily leave. I'm sure there are reasons but... often where there's one raccoon there's more.
