ok first of all , do plse not point the finger at me , this is a huge mistake I have made and I know it all too well But we are just all human beings and we make mistakes , only up to us to learn from , this mistake however could not be prevented as it was something I was unaware of . The second coop just collapsed as it was not finished of , the roof of it , a heavy stone-ish plate I can not even lift myself has been the reason for this . we added the roof ONLY to see wether or not it would be weatherproof enough because we got it from a friend who claimed water could still fall into the coop on the front and sides but therefor a friend added that have plate on an unfinished design . the chickens however were not suposed to be in it ! ( OFCOURSE !!! ) but this is what I just heard outside plus I need help with the survivors . I have a run with birdwirde attached to the top to be certain and especially because I lost my whole previous flock due to predators. now today we took the wire of because it had wholes in it to see what kind of wholes and a possibility to see what predator we look at but the chickens were in there elevated coop and run too , now these are ex battery girls so you assume its impossible for them to fly , wrong ! they CAN fly , not all of them but the ones we could get to regrow their feathers faster are all out the run and got inside the new coop , several hours ago I was already trying to post this as suddenly one of the birds started to act entirely wild with her head ( shaking it , falling down etc ) the victims are to put this straight just smashed by bricks of concrete , a heavy plate I can not even lift entirely and a bunch of wood . now here are the questions I need some help in answers : the survivors heads are swollen , not all of them but most of them , their heads are totally BLACK from the smack on them , some are bleeding out of their beaks and I cant figure where the exact injury is from those hens , all of them suffer breathing issues and do not stand up but lay down on their backs and sides , most in shock but also sevearly injured !
I do not want them to die so what can I do to make them breathe better ???? what about those with blood coming out of their beaks ? is this case lost ? and is culling the only option left or can I get them trough this ??? the other ones are mainly injured in small things and can be treated more easily or better said there life is not endangered . I have no idea what to do with the other girls here but it does not look good at all , blood out the ears , blood everywhere and black eyes or better yet a totally black HEAD and neck ... this prevents their breathing as it is underneath the beak so swollen it looks like a golfball or bigger ! seriously some questions I would like to get some opions about . now further I wanna mention I work the entire day and even night ( at the moment 1.09AM ) and still I am busy with work for chickens that have been rescued , need to be rescued , such as flyers to share in the local shops to rehome them , if not at home busy for them I am at the places you usually dont wanna be at all for their rehoming , for the preventing of the slaughter etc so forgive me the way I post this , the fact I do not always reply back and the fact I have made such mistake . I am hoping for you .
kind regards from someone with good intentions yet just a human person like anyone else here

another one just gave up pffffff you wanna do something good and that is what they get . Ps : i did not even know the woodframe was done with glue alone , I did not do the work myself alone , and I had the idea the person helping around did add atleast the screws too but that was not the case , also he did not have the intention to leave the roof on , this was just to see about size , weightsupport etc

See if you can do anything to stop the bleeding first. Then, find something quick to disinfect it if necessary and calm the chickens down. Help them breathe somehow by placing them upright and helping them stay that way. You may want to do this as it may help your chickens until more help arrives. I have no experience in this but had a chicken last week with a head almost bitten off. No breathing problems so it healed by itself. You may just want to and try doing as much as you can. Good luck and I hope you save your chickens.

I'm terribly sorry about the ones lives that have been lost. No need to panic, we understand you've made a mistake. It's okay.

I actually don't have much help with this at all... I am terribly sorry. The only similar thing I had was my Guinea got stuck under sheet rock. But he made it and it wasn't as bad... I agree with both @Yutongzhang and @BaronVonP. Thank you for calling me here, @Smuvers Farm.

I am hoping that your hens/roosters are in God's hands as we speak. May things straighten out, this is very sad news. :hugs

updt : the vet is on his way as there are too many and they need prof. care with products I don't have access too , will be a long night but whatever it is worth : their lives are hanging on a thin wire so no risks I am gonna take , they were ready for rehoming , I do not think so . I hope with all that I have inside of me they can be rescued but I am pretty sure that he has to hurry it up , bonus is the fact I can always contact him and he will always help his friends in need , this guy and I managed to rescue a lot of cases that were already " doomed to die " I got a feeling they can survive , not all of them but he can use his products to reduce swelling , as further I can do the rest , they are taken inside now in the room where I have plants germination that is used as my hospital . all of them are sitting up besides two . they have their heads hanging down and make all kinds of movements that are not OK at all but once he is here I let u knoww

Blood coming out of the beak and ears is probably fractured skulls and brain bleeding. Those chickens probably should be humanely put down to wnd their suffering. Any ballooning out of the neck or elsewhere if it feels puffy like air under the skin can be from leaking air sacs and may cause severe respiratory distress. Treatment usually involves piecing the skin with a sterilized needle, and pushing the air out. Black heads could be from bruising, bleeding, or if combs are black, low blood oxygen or heart failure from shock. I would triage the chickens to see who may have milder injuries that rest and care could save, and think about putting down the poor things who were severely injured so they do not suffer. Since they can be in shock for the first few hours, keep them warm, quiet, and in a dim area. Later, if they are alert, offer water to sip from a small cup held up to beaks. Electrolytes can be added to water. Fluids are most important. Look them over for wounds, broken bones, bruising. I am more in favor of putting them out of their misery than putting them through painful treatments that may prolong suffering. It just sounds like there may be too many with too much trauma to save all of the birds. Sorry this happened.

Honestly, this is quite horrifying.
I'll let those with more knowledge reply with some advice, I hope your chickens manage to recover but the symptoms you describe are very serious, you might have to put some of them down..
i have indeed never seen anythng like this , pure horror when u look at thespecially their little heads that are now so dark it scares u of ! The touching of their head is enough to cause screams of pain so I leave it up to the vet and I indd believe some have to get culled fast :((
