We are not planning on keeping them to long (They are meaties) so I don't think having it hang from the ceiling of a big BARN is a very good ideaYou'll have to hang the waterer on a rope from a rafter so they can't knock it over or keep it full or even put a brick in it so they can't knock it over. At that age and that many birds you need at least a 1 gal waterer and not a 1qt baby waterer. As big as those little chickens are, if you gave them a hammer, they could tear up a sherman tank.

Is that the little chick on the right that flipped that waterer?
IDK chickens can MOVE!Is that the little chick on the right that flipped that waterer?
I don't think you'll get much meat from them if they freeze themselves before they get big enough to eat. With winter coming you will have to fix this water issue if you expect to get any meat from your birds. Just saying. ..We are not planning on keeping them to long (They are meaties)
on brickMore details about the waterer needed. Pictures? Is the waterer lifted off of the ground? If yes, how (brick, cinder block, etc)
