Help choosing a breed!

I need a calm bird that's loving and accepts other chicken breeds. And one that is good with egg production for a colorful basket. It's between a silkie and an ameraucana. Which should I get?!?

Ameraucanas. Silkies do not lay very well, when they are not brooding. If they brood they don't lay at all.
But heck, go ahead and get them both! They are both friendly, fun birds to have around.
