I had a guinea fowl with a broken wing once, and he was good until he lost his BFF almost a year later. Then Nalla had a wing out of joint and she was fine. (Never did figure out what had happened on her though.)

Hmmmm that doesn't look good. I would try splinting it as @Lacy Duckwing said.

Im hoping he recovers soon. Please post a picture as that will definitely improve the amount of advice the experts can give. ~edited~ I see you posted a picture. I see what you're worried about. Hopefully it's not damage from circulation disruption. I'm still cheering for you both

I've seen the green before. Maybe that's bruising? Maybe try splinting, and ice his leg and foot. Place a paper towel in between the ice so it's not too cold. Don't hold the ice on any longer than five minutes.

I'm worried it is infection. Can I tag @ryneaeiel who is giving brilliant advice on another wound thread.

You may need to find some antibiotics. Posting some more pics will help, from different angles, above and below the foot and some close ups of the wound.

The green looks scary, but unless someone says different, I wouldn't be too concerned about that. I'd try not to touch it more than necessary.


FYI: The scales will never grow back on the wound. That's completely normal. It'll scar, so I wanted to let you know that before I forget.

I feel so bad for him, too. I want to cry just thinking about it. Lucy was around that age when I was worried that I was going to lose her.
